All is well - everything well within "normal" range. I think that they must all be in shock, as I must have been asked at least five times at my appointment, by nurses and the Dr, if I was diabetic. No, I am not. I had the same disbelief from my OB/GYN's office when I was pregnant. They had me tested for gestational diabetes by bloodwork and glucose fasting, twice, as they just could not wrap their minds around an overweight pregnant lady not being diabetic. It's an indicator, peoples, NOT a given. I do not have high blood pressure. I do not have high cholesterol. I am not diabetic. I do not eat refined sugar products/drink soda/smoke/drink excessively/eat fast food or processed foods/large portions/anything with gluten/and very light dairy. I do get exercise every day. I am overweight, yes, I know - I have a mirror and can read both my scale and my clothes size. Thank you for pointing out the obvious.
And so, my journey continues ... abdomen scan still on tap for Tuesday - wheeee hooey!
I suspect that I have had an issue with stress for a long time, and my body is out of whack somewhere - I just am unable to discover "where" on my own and how to trigger a return to health. I might try the nutritional reading from the integrative health chiropractor/ nutritionist. If she asks me more than once if I am diabetic, I will stand *wobble* *wobble* and leave.
